Paint Ins 2021

In response to the continuation of COVID-19 safety concerns for many Austin artists and in addition to our scheduled paint outs, we are promoting a monthly Painting Challenge for our members to showcase their paintings while practicing social distancing safely in their own environments and home studios.

February	Love of Painting	This month is about love and all that goes with it. From red heart-shaped boxes of candy and greeting cards to flowers and candlelight dinners. A match is made for this painting challenge by combining some reference to these gestures of love into a landscape painting. Couples strolling out on a trail or an urban sidewalk may do the trick. The use of primary red may be all it takes to create a sweetheart of a focal point.
March	March Winds	The change of seasons will bring in the welcomed colors of early spring along with the ever-changing weather. The challenge of painting movement in a plein air landscape may be in capturing the flowing waters from recent rains, or the wind bending grasses and trees as spring arrives with a gust. Catch this elusive challenge before it blows away!
