Saturday, June 28th - Mozart's coffee house - lower deck area is best if there are many of us (cleared with manager)

July, 2008

Monday, July 7th - General Meeting, 7pm. 10806 Keystone Bend.

Thursday, July 10th - McKinney Falls State Park, 5808 McKinney Falls Parkway. $4 day use fee, 13 miles SE of the State Capital, includes beautiful grounds and swimming in Onion Creek. Directions from Austin : Take 183 South of Ben White Blvd., turn West onto McKinney Falls Parkway (turn off is between Ben White and Burleson), go straight to Park entrance. Pick up map and meet at Smith Visitor Center at 9 am (entrance gate opens at 8 am). We will paint at the Upper Falls and/or the Lower Falls . Cell phone contact, Laurel Daniel: 512-632-4166

Saturday, July 19th – Eilers Park/Deep Eddy Pool, 401 Deep Eddy Drive. $3 for pool, includes pool with people action or small park with views of Lake Austin , AND swimming breaks as needed! Directions from Mopac: Go West on Lake Austin Blvd. , turn left onto Deep Eddy Drive (before Manga Pizza), park in Deep Eddy pool parking lot. Meet in parking lot at 9 am (pool opens at 8 am). Thursday, July 24th – Elisabet Ney Museum Grounds – 304 East 44th Street. No fee, includes shady grounds, picnic areas and museum visit if desired (Ney’s former studio and sculpture collection – museum opens at 10 am). Directions: located between 44th and 45th streets and Avenues G & H in Hyde Park . Meeting up will be easy at this location.
